Independent Creativity

est:1991

Home to a diverse and inspiring collective of Nottingham based artists, NCA offers a unique environment to explore and inspire creativity.

Founded in the early nineties by a small group with big vision, the NCA has since grown into a supportive collective of over 20 members spanning painting, sculpture, print, design and textiles.

Our affordable studios, set in the late Victorian Eagle Printing Works, offer space to develop artistic practice, connect with other creatives, collaborate and engage in contemporary visual arts.

Closely linked with the fabric of Nottingham, NCA members can often be found out and about, recent collaborations including Alex Rubes’ unmissable light installation projected onto the Council House in Market Square as part of Light Night, Raphael Daden’s thought provoking Sea Sculptures at the Nottingham Contemporary and the inimitable costumed Can Samba parades at Nottingham Pride.

Open Studio events offer the chance to visit the NCA for guided tours. Throughout the year, we also hold artist led workshops, talks and exhibitions.

Look out for our next Open Studio event coming soon, a chance to connect and catch up with all that’s currently happening at NCA.
